Our 2024 Annual Report – Tranz Network Uganda (TNU)
In a year defined by both progress and unprecedented challenges, at Tranz Network Uganda (TNU), we’ve remained steadfast in advancing the rights, health, and dignity of trans and gender-diverse communities across the country. Our 2024 Annual Report highlights how, despite the harsh realities of the Anti-Homosexuality Act (AHA), we expanded access to life-saving healthcare through the newly established Tunaweza Wellness Centre, empowered over 2,000 individuals with programs in health, justice, livelihoods, and capacity building, and strengthened our network of 23 member organisations nationwide.
This report is not only a record of achievements, it is a testament to the resilience of our community, the commitment of our partners, and the power of collective action. From mapping 63 trans-supportive health facilities to launching a toll-free emergency hotline and supporting trans entrepreneurs through the TREE project, TNU continues to prove that change is possible, even in the most restrictive environments.
We invite you to explore the full report and join us in building a future where trans and gender-diverse persons in Uganda can live freely, safely, and with dignity.
